Benefits
Reduced costs of lab testing
Many patients have high-deductible insurance, or no insurance, and are paying an inflated cost of lab testing, these lab fees can add up quickly and be very expensive. Skyline Family Medicine is proud to be able to offer our members up to 95% reduced pricing for lab testing for those who wish to pay directly for their labs. Members may choose whether to use this pricing or have the lab submit a bill to their insurance. See below for examples.
For members who wish to use their insurance for labs, Skyline Family Medicine will send the insurance information to the lab for them.
Blood work is drawn at our lab partner facilities. UVA health labs at Northridge is just across the street and LabCorp is located on Pantops on the east side of the Charlottesville.

Reduced imaging costs
Pricing for imaging such as x-ray, CT, or MRI can vary widely. We help patients access less expensive imaging through MDSave imaging centers and with our at cost partner, UVA Health Imaging. Most clinics do not have the time to provide this service but we offer it as part of our membership. We can help you to find the least expensive options available locally, whether you are using insurance or paying cash. If imaging is needed, this can save you a significant amount of money, potentially hundreds to thousands of dollars.
Help with medication costs
Skyline Family Medicine is aware of the rising cost of medications. When appropriate, we will choose the medication options that are equally effective and safe but also less expensive. We will make every effort to reduce your medication costs, whether it be through a cost effective approach, using Good RX to assess coupons or recommending pharmacies that can give you medications at cost pricing, such as Parkway Pharmacy in Crozet, Top Notch Pharmacy, and Honest Rx Pharmacy in Staunton. We can also help with accessing prescription assistance programs for patients who qualify and we are aware of which pharmacies carry less expensive pricing for the same medications. If you have insurance that covers medications, you can use your insurance to help cover your prescription costs, just as you always have.
